B-21  . R.A.M.C. SHORTENED LANCASTER SWORD BAYONET: Matching numbers. Issued to the Medical Corps as a side arm. The one in Skennerton’s Book has a steel bushing in the muzzle ring. This one does not and it is also much longer, still retaining much of the original pipe back blade. These were never intended to be used as bayonets; strictly as a side arm in lieu of a short sword. BCB-B162. These are quite RARE. VG+ $650.00

B-23  . P. 1859 NAVAL CUTLASS 2ND TYPE: Maker: A & E HOLLER of Solingen. Holler made 13,000 cutlass bayonets many of which were exported to the U.S. for the Civil War. The grips are EXC+, the blade is bright and also EXC+. The scabbard is VG (BCB-B165 & 167) Also European Bayonets of the American Civil War Pg. 73-75. EXC. $1200.00

B-40  . PLUG BAYONET: Circa 1750. 10 inch blade, 5 inch handle. Lovely engraved and gold inlayed ricasso. There are traces of engraving on both sides of the blade. Probably from Madrid or Toledo. VG $750.00

B-41  . PLUG BAYONET: Maker: “EUSEBIO ZULOAGA EN MADRID” circa 1808-1898. Horn grip with iron mounts. Nice blade with some spots of light pitting. Lovely logo on the ricasso. Leather covered wood scabbard, open on one side,. Beautiful German Silver mounts. Eusebio Zuloaga 1808-1898, his father Blas Zuloaga was head of the Royal Armoury of Spain; in 1834 Eusebio was named main armourer "Lieutenant of the Royal Armoury"; in 1840 gun maker to the King of Spain, closed his shop in Madrid 1854, had another one in Eibar. His son Pacido took over the Royal Armouries. VG  $750.00
